It has ' word of the day', a la dictionary.com and also a subscription service where ' word of the day ' is emailed to your mail box. I subscried ! ( sigh ! u the sucker for free stuff).

HOW I CAME ACROSS THIS SITE : That is an interesting story. Today morning, I saw ' The Hindu' and no interesting editorials ( on pakistan / obama / af-pak, that is ).

cosmicfingerprints.com & coffehousetheology.com

There is this person called Perry Marshall, who seems to have definite ideas about the origin of Cosmos, evolution, big bang, intelligent design , and God. He nuances the difference between a 'Pattern' ( which can be created by random events) and Code ( which requires a designer ! ).

I don't know how far I agree with this, prima facie. But here is his website.

http://www.cosmicfingerprints.com/

The same person posed some interesting questions about organized religion etc in this another web site.

http://www.coffeehousetheology.com/

Browse these web sites in leisure. Looks like he sends you some free articles of his, if you enter our name and email ID. Try that once.

How I found this on Net : I was reading ' Cosmic Uplink' article by Mr.Mukul Sharma. At the bottom of the article, apart from ' write your comments', there are 3 google advts ! Clicked on one of them. This is the result.

Jai Ho Google !

The Cluetrain Manifesto :95 theses ; power of web in mrktg

The Cluetrain Manifesto is a set of 95 theses organized and put forward as a manifesto, or call to action, for all businesses operating within what is suggested to be a newly-connected marketplace. The ideas put forward within the manifesto aim to examine the impact of the Internet on both markets (consumers) and organizations. In addition, as both consumers and organizations are able to utilize the Internet and Intranets to establish a previously unavailable level of communication both within and between these two groups, the manifesto suggests that the changes that will be required from organizations as they respond to the new marketplace environment.

The manifesto was written in 1999 by Rick Levine, Christopher Locke, Doc Searls, and David Weinberger. A printed publication which elaborated on the manifesto was published in 2000 by Perseus Books (ISBN 0-7382-0431-5) under the same name.

The authors assert that the Internet is unlike the ordinary media used in mass marketing as it enables people to have "human to human" conversations, which have the potential to transform traditional business practices radically.

The book and website both challenge what the manifesto calls outmoded, 20th-century thinking about business in light of the emergence of the Web, clearly listing "95 theses", as a reference to Martin Luther's manifesto which heralded the start of the Protestant movement.

The term "cluetrain" stems from this quote:

"The clue train stopped there four times a day for ten years and they never took delivery." — Veteran of a firm now free-falling out of the Fortune 500 ~!"
